Are You Going To The Seattle Hempfest This Weekend?

Seattle Hempfest performersI have never been to Seattle Hempfest, but I have always heard that it is amazing and I have always wanted to go. It’s my goal to get up there next year for sure! If you are a Hempfest veteran, please post some comments below to let others know what to look for. Below is an article from our friends at NORML talking more about the event:

World’s Largest Annual Marijuana Law Reform Festival Takes Place This Weekend

Seattle, WA: Event organizers are expecting to break attendance records this weekend for the 22nd annual Seattle Hempfest, taking place this Friday through Sunday at Myrtle Edwards & Centennial Parks along the downtown Seattle waterfront.

This year’s event will feature six stages of musical acts and speakers, including NORML Board Members Rick Cusick, Dale Gieringer, Madeline Martinez, Kevin Oliver, William Panzer, Keith Saunders, Jeffery Steinborn, and Keith Stroup. A complete schedule of speakers and performers is online here:http://www.hempfest.org/festival/schedule/.

In November, a majority of Washington state voters approved I-502, a statewide initiative allowing for the licensed production and retail distribution of marijuana to those persons age 21 and over. State regulators are still in the process of finalizing rules overseeing the substance’s cultivation and sale.

Mediocre music, great deals on bongs and pipes, people getting high on the waterfront.

For protests and making a statement on cannabis, it is a must. Entertainment value pretty low, crowds large.

Reminds me of outdoor concerts in the 1970s. Good to do once in a while.

    Good luck finding parking..take water..
