How To Make Marijuana Gravy

marijuana gravyCannabis Gravy Recipe

Gravy is basically required for a Thanksgiving meal. It”s what makes the turkey taste that much better. Not feeling very motivated to medicate everything on your table this year? Simply medicating the gravy will get you and your family/friends stoned enough to still have room for dessert!

Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp chopped fresh sage
2 large onions, sliced thin
½ cup balsamic vinegar
Turkey, chicken or vegetable stock
1/3 cup flour
2 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
6 Tbsp cannabutter
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

Grab a large skillet and melt your cannabutter over medium heat. Watch it closely. Add in your sliced onions and sauté them for about ten minutes. Then, toss in the rosemary and sage and cook for another ten minutes. Gradually add in the flour and whisk the mixture for a minute. Slowly whisk in the stock and begin to boil the mix until it begins to thicken. Stir everything frequently. Grab the pan that you used to cook the turkey in and pour the juices out in to a cup. Spoon off the fat that rises to the top and pour the juices in with the gravy.

In your roasting pan, add vinegar. Bring that to a simmer over medium, scraping up the browned bits left behind. Pour this new mixture in to a small sauce pan. Boil it for about 3 minutes and then add it in to the gravy. Stir it together well. Add salt and pepper for seasoning if you choose.

  3. I would think that washing the cannabis would wash away some important and beneficial parts of marijuana. I mean, you’re talking about washing it after the plant has been dried and cured, right? And growing anything outside is dirty, but that’s where we get most of our food, no?

When heat is applied to the plant matter, it causes the odor to increase, so how you could make marijuana taste good through cooking is confusing to me.

  4. Washing the Cannabis changes it to taste a whole lot better. Grown indoors, growers often have to spray to prevent spider mites, or spray to treat them. Grown outdoors, Cannabis is FILTHY! All the stuff that spews into the air is all over the plant matter, as well as what the birds and bugs leave behind. Clean Cannabis actually tastes great! Best wishes.

  5. This sounds really interesting, but don’t you think that cannabis is stronger than oregano and tarragon (which are pretty strong-smelling herbs)? It seems like people are always trying to disguise the taste, rather than use it to enhance.

  6. Cannabis has been a culinary herb for centuries, I enjoy Cannabis as much as I do Mint, Thyme, Rosemary, etc
Cannabis reminds me of a more potent version of Parsley with notes of Oregano and Tarragon.
I use dried and fresh leaf on pizza, sometimes along with basil. goes great with Tuna and green peppers and chopped caper pizza, or even better with Spaghetti Bolognese alla ‘ragu’,
    – mix the fresh finely chopped herb with dried breadcrumbs to the same ratio of finely grated parmesan and use as a topping.

  7. It’s all in how you make the butter, painkills2. At Albany’s Canna Kitchen & Research, LLC, we wash your weed before we convert it to a Smokeless Cannabis Remedy … that really changes things up!

  8. I would never ruin the taste of homemade gravy with cannabis, sorry, there have to be SOME limits.
