Premieres Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT

All-new series American Weed finds Colorado medical marijuana businesses under scrutiny and facing mounting pressures from local residents. Medical cannabis entrepreneur and Fort Collins dispensary owner Josh Stanley works aggressively to counter such pressure with radio ads and fundraisers. As the oldest of 11 kids, Josh relies heavily on several of his brothers to work at the grove and keep his business supplied in medical marijuana. Meanwhile, Sgt. Jim Gerhardt and fellow officers on the North Metro Task Force continue to find illegal grows by residents claiming to be growing medical marijuana. Is the pendulum swinging back to curb the 10-year proliferation of medical marijuana in Colorado?

Fort Collins dispensary owner Dawn Clifford and her husband, John, are facing the possibility of their business being shut down due to a proposed marijuana dispensaries ban. If it happens, all owners are on the chopping block, and hundreds of patients will be left in the cold. The Stanley brothers are growing their medicinal marijuana to sell at their dispensaries throughout the state. But the guys face a problem: their $250,000 crop must be moved before the plants outgrow the space and the crop is lost. Meanwhile, Scoot Crandall is rounding up votes to stop Fort Collins from being what he calls the “pot capital of Northern Colorado.” And Sgt. Jim Gerhardt discovers marijuana is growing in a suburban neighborhood within reach of children – who have picked leaves and taken them to school.

People do not care. The FDA, government, and pharmaceutical companies only care about making money. Science is too interested in helping people create clones of themselves and injected hormones into rats to try and figure out how humans love and kill. I tried to have a conversation with Mr. Ray Martinez from the show and he continuously blew me off with answering my questions, demonstrated that he had no intention of talking to people like us, and then recommended that I buy his book when it comes out. Who is all about making money?
Surgery is not an option. I am unable to take narcotics because of my stomach and the lack of help that it offers me. The side-effects are ridiculous and they are extremely habit forming. I truly feel for you and I am in the same boat. Illinois is a state filled with ignorant people who truly do not care about people who suffer from chronic pain or incurable diseases. I have no fear of being reprimanded for my marijuana habit. I am on disability and when it came time to face the judge she never even questioned me on it. All of my specialists and doctors approve of me using this form of self-medication because I have no other alternatives. We need to stand together and be heard. We have rights and we have the right to stand up for ourselves and be heard. It is time for the USA to be educated that there are people like us in this world that need help grown from the Earth. Until they can be us and live how we live, with what we live with people have no right to judge or criticize us. Stay strong and hopefully, soon, positive changes can come.

  2.  If you are sick of all the hustle and bustle of city living, then perhaps it is time to move to a quieter place like Denver, Colorado. This

city offers the best of both worlds, with its expansive open space and natural surroundings. If you buy one of the foreclosed homes away from

the city, you can enjoy all the privacy and quiet you need.

I am disabled. I live in constant 24 hour a day pain. It never stops. I’ve had 3 back surgeries. I have to take narcotics to even get out of bed. Marijuana is is crime where I live. And I am pissed!  I am forced to take my pills, which by the way, makes the big drug companies billions of dollars, but I have to fear jail for using marijuana. What the heck is wrong with this country? No politician in Tennessee where I live has the balls to fight for people like myself. I can’t just pick up and move to a state that allows marijuana. I want this country of mine to take notice of people like myself, who should have a choice in their treatment. To the Stanley brothers, I salute you!  To your opposition in Fort Collins, who do you think you are to deny people like myself?  How dare you tell me what I can and can’t do for my horrible pain. If the law needs to be tweeked in Fort Collins, then address those needs, but do not shut down the very places that are helping people that are in pain. What will happen to the people who are using medical marijuana?  Do you think the entire thing will just disappear? It will go underground, it won’t be taxed, it will bring in crime. Wake up and embrace the future.

  4. Thank you!  Stanley Bros, you all are doing what is right in the Kingdom of the Almighty God the Creator of all living things that are both small and great.  Genesis Chapter 1 verse 29″ God said, I have given you every seed bearing herb, which is upon the face of this earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed and all green plants to be use by you as meat”.  I do see one problem with the show and I would like to sincerely address the issue on smoking…It is not exactly the healthiest form of consumption.  Instead, please try to include in the show oral ingestion like cooking with eat and making teas.  This would help curb some of the dissension among the haters that are trying to shut you all down.  Also there are other herbs that you all should include in your garden that complement the Cannabis herb.  God Bless you all and I pray that people will open up there eyes and see that God’s creation is pure and cannot be called illegal.

  5. I watched the show last night and found it to be pretty comical, and I LOVED the lady who was trying to persuade the protester guy. Another funny part was when the guy got some honks and a ‘thumbs down’ from a mom with her youngling in the passenger seat. LOL!

The second video looks like a Cops episode. Good thing they had several officers and a tv crew to expose this guy’s home on national television.
