What’s Next For The Medical Marijuana Revolution?

dr sanjay gupta marijuana cnnOver the last two years Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s reporting has been truly groundbreaking in mainstreaming the benefits of medical marijuana. Dr Gupta has brought stories of everyday Americans that obtain essential benefits from medical marijuana products into the living rooms of millions of Americans.

“Watching CNN’s Weed was the first time many Americans saw everyday people benefiting from medical marijuana,” said Steph Sherer executive director of Americans for Safe Access. “Seeing how much good medical marijuana can do has lead to an outgrowth in activism that has helped create new laws at the state level and is laying the foundation for important federal legislation.”

On April 19th, CNN will premiere the third installment of their documentary series on medical marijuana Weed 3 documenting the ongoing developments in what Dr. Gupta has declared a “medical marijuana revolution.” The following day– on April 20th at 7:00pm EST– patient advocacy group Americans for Safe Access (ASA) will host a Google Hangout to discuss the documentary and the issues it examines.

They aren’t for us, GW Pharmacueticals own website says they would never endorse the legalization of crude marijuana. They have US patents for the treatment of Glioma, and Cancer Pain, using Sativex.

They also have patents on an aerosol delivery system that uses butane as a propellent.

They’re manipulating the cannabis plant gene’s to create O%THC/CBD to act as stabilizers and get the ratio’s of CBD/THC they’re after. They’re also heavily invested in by the same group that funds Monsanto.

If they we’re for “Us”, they would release all the information, on the ratio’s that help MS, Cancer Pain, and Glioma reversal. Then we could make it ourselves, and live cancer/pain free lives.

This is all public information, found through stock websites.

  2. I watched weed 3 and wow finally a president that is open to medical weed at least and did not call it Evil like several previous presidents. The U.S. has really turned the corner on this and is heading toward the Finnish line. Most republicans are staying fairly quite on the weed issue with a few exceptions.

  3. I’m a traumatic brain injury survivor with post concussive seizure disorder, PTSD , involuntary muscle movement, Memory lapses and host of other issues. My nieces has Type 1 diabetes insulin resistant she started using cannabis at 12 for her condition she is graduating with honors this year. I currently can’t use cannabis because of litigation issues. Legal non cannabis poison drugs they gave me. The anti-seizure meds either almost killed me or made me a zombie. The pain killers either don’t work or destroyed my prostate pretty much “sensitive to opium derived or based medication” The other meds made me about insane or irrational. I’m Aware of the many possible uses of cannabis and cannabis based meds. Point being I have a few horses in this race so to say. lol take care

  4. Cannabinoid medicine fully exploited has the possibility of saving $1 trillion a year in medical expenses. Look up – cannabis NIH cancer – for one. Or – cannabis NIH diabetes – for another. Cannabis NIH Alzheimer’s. There are many more.

  5. Better than having ALL the money people against us. Let them fight it out with each other. As long as we keep this in mind:

Every tax, every regulation comes with it an army of bureaucrats and behind that an army (with guns) of enforcers.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

No more taxed or regulated than tomatoes.

  6. Gupta: “We should legalize medical marijuana. We should do it nationally. And, we should do it now.”

Turner Investments (think CNN) have 1.45 million invested in GW Pharmacueticals, and everytime a special airs their stock rises, so yeah…

  8. With the epic failure of so called modern medicine to address the needs of thousands of Americans. The hope of more and more doctors to look outside of the box for methods to treat that don’t need an additional 5 drugs to just treat the side effect of just one drug. Cannabis addresses many of the problems without as many side effects that require a medicine chest to counter.
